Previously, on the Neverending Cover Art Saga:

Satisfied with the figure but frustrated by the throne, we adjourned for a few days to take some distance and not stab each other.  In the meantime, I looked for some dais-type stairs and tried to shoehorn them into the picture.

I LIKE IT BUT I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE THRONE ITSELF, Y’KNOW?  IT JUST LOOKS SO…FLAT.

…Well, the problem is that all your text has the throne being glowing white-on-white, and that’s kind of difficult to give any….depth to.

YOU CAN SOLVE IT.  I HAVE FAITH IN YOU.

ALSO I HATE PINK.

You know, I was going to smooth the dais anyway.  I have eyes.

I KNOW BUT I GET NERVOUS SOMETIMES WHEN THINGS THAT BOTHER ME TAKE A LONG TIME TO GET DONE SO I MENTION THEM OVER AND OVER JUST SO YOU DON’T FORGET THEM WHEN YOU FINALLY HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO THEM.

Naturally.

WE MUST BE CONSISTENT WITH THE REST OF THE SERIES!  ALSO I HATE HOW THE CAPITAL T JUTS OUT FROM THE REST OF THE LETTERS IN THIS FONT.  WAH.  NOT THAT WE CAN DO MUCH ABOUT THE THRONE THOUGH.

Well let me finish the card first!  It needs its corner icons.  What card is it?

THE KING OF SWORDS, OF THE SUIT OF METAL.  SO IT NEEDS A CROWN AND SOME SWORDS AND UM…A SUN BECAUSE IT REPRESENTS THE RISEN PHOENIX EMPEROR, AT LEAST WHEN IT’S IN THE IMPERIAL DECK.

Now I just put them all together, and…

PERFECT!

And then we add the Guardian emblem for the spine, to go with the Winged-Light pendant and the crystal arrowhead from the previous books…
