This is actually the character’s natural skin tone.  However, we can’t have that!  He’s a necromancer wearing a corpse-body, after all, so he needs to look a bit less lively.

Except without looking dead, since he’s good at faking life.  Which means us flailing at colors to try to make him look pallid or stark.

After some more color-adjustment on the face, it had to be done on the hands!

And then the tinkering began.
