After getting final feedback (and error corrections) from a beta reader, I can now present Book 2 in my current trilogy of rollicking, ghoul-baiting, relic-snatching, nun-punching, jail-breaking, desert dune-buggying, lightning-menacing, shenanigan-heavy spy-and-knight adventures! This one includes rather more body horror than the previous, as we delve more into the issues surrounding undeath and the Saints — and also more into the politics of the Great Valley people and those they’ve both been displaced by and those they displaced in turn.
Also: riding lizards. I love riding lizards.
The description of the aforementioned book, The Fading Saint, is as such:
Zehuanali, Silence spy, may have technically accomplished her mission to neutralize the threat of the godbone blade. But the complications of that mission now follow her from the cursed jungle and into the Dust Lands in the form of clerk-knight Aethan, who is bound to her by vows and necessity. Their self-given quest to unearth the conspiracy against the Lady will send these two across the foreign-controlled heart of Tzimayat and into the depths of their own histories – as rife with treachery and sorrow as the Dust Lands itself.
Sword. Silence. Judgment. Healing. The Saints of the Motherlands have planted their feet firmly upon Tzimayat. But Tzimayat’s own gods are restless – as are its people.
And any Saint can fade.
This is the second of three, with the third book — The Goddess Revenant — currently getting its final read-through. I hope to get that one published at some point in March. As noted previously, these will be just on Amazon initially, first as e-books and then as print books, to be imported to Smashwords/Draft2Digital a bit later.
I see from that post that I said I’d update the book/series pages… I should probably do that!
But here we go: book 2!
